DAS gets web3 Foundation grant Helping the development of web3 infrastructure

Powered by distributed technology (blockchain), Web3 will disrupt the Web 2.0 Internet from three perspectives: openness, privacy and co-construction, creating a decentralised world led by a community of users and reconfiguring the Internet traffic value paradigm.

In May 2020 the Web3 Foundation launched the Open Grants programme, which runs in conjunction with the General Grants programme, to help create a better Web3 ecosystem.
The Web3 Foundation, or Web3 Foundation, also known as W3F, is a Swiss foundation founded by Dr. Gavin Wood, Robert Habermeier, and Peter Czaban as an organisation focused on developing, deploying and maintaining Web3 with a strong belief in a fair and free decentralised next generation network. The Foundation was created to support technologies and applications that are born under the decentralised network, but also those that mix the fields of cryptography to protect decentralised technologies and applications.
The Foundation's Grant Programme focuses on funding outstanding technology projects that add value to the web3 ecosystem, providing them with financial and technical support and a constant stream of 'sustenance' to build the web3 ecosystem.

In July 2020, DAS was awarded a Web3 Foundation Open Grant (Open Grants) to help DAS build and realise the vision of Web3, and the launch of the Grant funding programme provides strong support for DAS to create an ecosystem for the next generation of the web, enabling DAS developers or teams to build the infrastructure of the Web3 network in a better environment.

The DAS network is a Web3 core network. On the basis of ensuring high throughput, low latency, and configurability, it also takes into account the needs of the off-chain ecosystem and the interaction between the on-chain ecosystems. The goal of DAS is to build a network that replaces the Internet. Integrate the core network of each public chain. The initial application scenario of the DAS network is as the underlying environment of the blockchain of the Internet, and in this context it can be called the core network. The core function of DAS is to allocate the entire network computing and storage resources, and developers can freely choose the corresponding specifications, consensus protocols, virtual machines, and additional security measures. The DAS token is a utility and functional token. In order to obtain the right to work in the core network, each application must run the DAS background program through a series of smart contracts.

The Web3 technology stack is divided from bottom to top into: Storage Layer, State Layer, Computation Layer, Component Layer, Scalability Transfer Layer, User Control Layer, and the Decentralized application Layer.

The application layer of DAS is a decentralised application protocol with a wide range of categories, mainly including: DEFI, GameFi, Social Messaging, Payment, Multi-Chain Wallet, DID System, NFT Platform, Media, Lounge, Ecomerce, Security, etc.

In layman's terms, DAS can be used in many scenarios, including finance, authentication, ticketing, government, copyright, traceability, healthcare, public welfare, gaming, art and so on. At this stage, DAS is still in the initial deployment stage, the underlying infrastructure is more critical, and distributed storage is crucial in the underlying infrastructure of Web 3.0.
Web3 symbolises the third era of change in the modern Internet; Web 2.0 to Web3 is not an ordinary upgrade, but a complete and fundamental innovation, a change in technology, business and user models, so that DAS reorganises the infrastructure and application protocols from the inside out.

With the support of the web foundation, the DAS is taking shape and will be unveiled step by step in the ongoing exploration of Web3.
